Prayer Warriors Needed

Meet my Aunt Jean and my Aunt Jane (yes they are twins and Aunt Jean is on the left.) Aunt Jean has had MS since she was 35. She has fought this for awhile now. We pray daily for a miracle of healing for her but right now there is more.

We (my family) are advocates for Multiple Sclerosis. We even do a golf tournament in memory of my grandfather. All proceeds go to MS. As well as Walk MS. We pray for a cure for MS, so my Aunt Jean will at least be able to get around. This is a lady who has always been athletic and even had a career of a Physical Therapist.

Something that my sweet Papaw (our angel looking down on us now) has taught our whole family is… family comes first. So, I am interrupting my normal blogging for an urgent prayer request.

Aunt Jean already has to use a walker around the house and has to be in a wheelchair outside of the home. My uncle has been there for her from day one, lovingly, unconditionally! (Thank you Lord for him!) Working, taking care of her and taking care of the home and their girls when Aunt Jean just can’t get around.

I am asking for two prayers… prayers for my uncle to continue to have strength.

More importantly, Aunt Jean has been really sick since this past weekend. With a high fever, can’t eat, has lost all mobility in her legs and one arm. She has a Urinary Tract Infection. If you know anything about MS, you know that with MS comes an immune deficiency. Her body is having a hard time fighting this infection. The neurologist has told them he is hoping that after the infection is gone (which will be hard to get rid of), she will have her mobility back. However, it is possible that it won’t come back because of the MS and infection combined.

My Aunt Jean is very dear to me… her and I have had heart to heart conversations. I need her to be able to travel from the west coast to see her family, so I can have more of those conversations! The only way I know how to help from this distance is prayers. And prayers are the best way! I am begging for prayers. I am asking you, my blogging friends and readers to please pray for her. She has been through episodes of not being able to walk and having blind moments in the past but “normal” came back, we are praying for a miracle. We pray for her daily but this is something I feel needs more than just my family’s prayers.

I’m asking my online community to come together and be prayer warriors for a Christian lady with two sweet children and a husband that loves her very much…  and a niece’s heart that hurts for her Aunt.

Matthew 9:22 says “Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment.”

Please leave a comment that you are praying, I would love to show her how many strangers, family and friends are praying for her. :) The hope and strength that would give her and her sweet family could be life changing!

God bless you all!

Chele

Chele – I’m praying for your Aunt right now – for her immune system to be renewed and for this infection to leave her body. And also for you – for wisdom to know how to best support her and the wider family, and for peace as you do this from some distance.

You won’t remember me, but my name is Pam Eberly and I am the daughter of Dick & Lois Millar. I grew up camping with your Mom and all of your Aunts and Uncles, so I remember your Aunt Jean & Jane as cute little blondes that we used to drag all over the campgrounds with us. I could never tell them apart until your grandma put Blue sneakers on Jean and Red sneakers on Jane. So, I would simply think Blue Jean and I knew who I was carrying or playing with. I think of your Aunt Jean often and am so sorry to hear that she’s having such a difficult time right now. Be assured that I will most certainly keep her in my prayers in getting rid of this infection and also for a cure for MS. Thank you so much for doing this. What a good neice you are!! And remember, prayers go across the miles. God Bless!

Obviously you love Jesus. Here’s what you must do for your aunt. You must believe Isaiah 53 and IPeter 2:24. Jesus bore your aunts sicknesses on the cross. You don’t have to pray for healing. He’s already healed her! Just recieve it and thank Him. I love you and I’m praying for your family. God bless you. You seem to be full of love:)

I am praying for your aunt and your family. It is hard to give words of comfort at times like these but your faith seems to shine through. All you need for comfort is the knowledge that God does hear our prayers and He is with you and your aunt every step of the way. No matter what the outcome maybe He is there with you. I lost my daughter when she was 9 years old and I my first question was why? Why would God take an innocent child? His response was that He needed her to help Him show people His love through her and He did. Kandis touched many people’s hearts and she knew that she was going to be with Jesus and she comforted those around her more than we could ever comfort her. I pray that God makes your aunt strong and that she has a full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My prayers for your Aunt will begin today. It is such a blessing that you took the time to write such a tribute for her. I totally understand the mountains and valleys of MS as my Mother was diagnosed when I was 6 years old and she was 33. She was able to live and be an inspiration to all who knew her until she was 70. Praise the Lord for the gift of having her with us for so many years, and the best blessing now, is we know she is with her Jesus. She had many problems with urinary tract infections and then numerous pneumonias in later years, but the smile and determination along with her faith never faltered.
Please let your Aunt know, that Sue from Red Lion is praying for her and your family. A favorite Bible verse of mine is “Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. I Peter 5:7. Blessings and prayers to all, Sue N. Red Lion, PA

Michelle, what a beautiful letter requesting prayers for Jean. Many times, when someone we love is hurting, our hearts are heavy and we are overwhelmed. We feel we can’t pray. But God’s Word tells us the Holy Spirit prays for us. Your Granddad and Grandmother have been our dearest friends for many years. We miss Bobby very much. We have watched our families grow thru the years and remember the twins as babies. We will be praying for Little Jean for continued improvement and Blessings for Steve and the Girls. Love!

Chele, I’m praying for your aunt right now. I can’t imagine how hard it is to see someone so young suffering so much :( .
