Friday Reflections – Beautiful Bloggers

I never thought I would get an award from another blogger. I absolutely had in my head I wasn’t good enough to be awarded anything in blogging. I guess I’m wrong! I also said if I got one, I wouldn’t do it because it seems like one of those emails that you read over and over again from different people. Yea my head just went blank! LOL! However I needed this right now! Thank you God for putting beautiful bloggers in my midst.

The Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award and insert a link to their blog.

2. List seven things about yourself.

3. Pass on the award to about 15 other bloggers who you recently discovered and think are great!

Thank you Erin at Closing Time. I am so honored to be on the list of Beautiful Bloggers along with you!

Seven things about me:

1. I’m very good at coming up with ideas. Good ones too! Executing is a whole other story, as long as I have the support the idea will happen!

2. I really get stuck on writing my posts because of too many thoughts. Like way too many thoughts!

3. Many days I keep my hat on all day just because I can!

4. I actually enjoy watching my husband play on the X-Box, as long as it doesn’t cut into my time with him.

5. I laugh at people when they get hurt. Now if they are seriously hurt that is a different story. My family calls it a sick sense of humor. You know laughing at TV shows when someone falls. Even laughing at my child when he walks into the wall, yes I’m laughing just thinking about it! hahaha

6. Contrary to some beliefs (or stereotyping) about me, I do love my children, I do play with them, I want everything good for them, they are 4 of the biggest blessings God could give me… I just choose not to share it here very much. That’s all.

7. It took me approximately 45 minutes to write these 7 things down. 😉

I know the directions above say 15 people. However, I am sharing with you only the people that God has led me to ask and they accepted to be a part of my big… no HUGE project (shhh, it’s a secret for now!) They are beautiful ladies, helpful and encouraging! I probably won’t do this everytime I get an award but this was just perfect timing!

I don’t expect these ladies to do this in return. I just want you to go take in all of these beauiful bloggers writings. I’m sure you will see why I chose them to be part of my dream! NO, I’m confident you will!

Many Blessings for a beautiful and blessed weekend!

Friday Reflections – It’s RELEVANT

Unless you are going to The Relevant Conference, you are probably really sick of hearing about it. However folks, I’m so excited! All of these ladies below are wonderful people. They love Jesus! They are people who either I have read their blogs for awhile or new blogs that I have just started to read. They are obviously placed in my life for a reason… so I am going to do some shout outs to the ladies that have made me smile this week! Thank you all for all you are doing to share and reach out like Jesus! You are absolutely becoming Relevant in my life!

I’m excited to meet these ladies…

  • Sarah Mae is such a sweet lady. She is also is “in charge” of the Relevant conference. She is just so humble and I cannot wait to meet her!
  • Sarah Pinnix she has reached out to me before, actually many times. She is kind and wants to help others in the blogging community. I love her already and never met her face to face! She is speaking, I cannot wait. Hope she brings her Snuggie! (see I do read Sarah, LOL)
  • Amy I have been wanting to meet this sweet soul for almost a year now. She has supported me spiritually for awhile now! Thanks girl!
  • Kristen she has a heart for Jesus and seems like such a precious lady. Can’t wait to hear her speak at Relevant! She also is in Kenya right now on a Compassion Blogger Mission and is sharing on her site. Beautiful words and photos! (make sure you have a box of tissues handy!)

I’m excited that I’m meeting these new friends…

  • And another Michelle She shares her journey with life at So, I Married a Mennonite!  We already get along so well!
  • Teri Lynne oh wow, she is already shocking me with her reaching out. I cannot wait to meet her. She also has bible studies on her site that you can join in and download a copy when she is through with them!
  • Cherie talks on her blog about Heart and Soul Reflections. Her and I have been battling a war this week and we have started to realize we are not alone! Thanks Cherie!
  • Mandy not only is she living in NC but we are going to drive to Pennsylvania together for the conference. I cannot wait to meet her and get to know her. I think we are more alike than we realize!
  • Erin she is so kind, I cannot wait to meet her either (I know it sounds like a broken record, but it’s true!) She had her blogoversary this week, go check out how beautiful her madeover site is!)
  • and another Erin, she has a beautiful heart. I just can’t wait to meet her. She’s been in the war too this week. But it’s Friday now, yahoo!! 😉

I’m hoping for these friends to be able to go too!

  • Marci I am so praying for her to be able to go! It won’t be right without her! (by the way she is having a blog party next week to celebrate her new look, with giveaways and some beautiful ladies that are guest posting!)
  • Michelle (aka Mikki) I have been getting to know her this past week and she needs this conference just like me!  I am praying!
  • Sarah (yes this is the 3rd one in this post! Ha-Ha) she is trying to get to Relevant. I hope she can than she can join Mandy and I for the road trip! :)

Take a minute to go check out these ladies. These are the ladies I have met in the blogging community that share the Good News with others and absolutely have reached out to me, someone they don’t know face to face! I am so thankful that God has placed them in my life! There are so many others but these gals have really touched me this week.

Many Blessing to you all!

Friday Reflections

Just a little quick note, I was not posting at the beginning of the week because my blog server was down! Thank you God for my tech angel, Allison!

(In)Courage has a post about Dreamy Words. Awesome tips on how to receive the love women want!

Love Everyday a compiled book from relationship writers. And two of my favorites Serene Journey and Organizing Your Way were part of this! Free download of the book!

Megan at SortaCrunchy wrote On feeling called to public schools.  She made me feel not so alone in the thoughts of why she doesn’t homeschool. I’m just not called to do that!

Please go check out Dallas Designs . This is an 8 year old who makes jewelry and is wanting to give all profits to St. Jude for the month of February. It is awesome that a child wants to give like that! Help her out!

Now I’m off to spend time with the hubby! I hope everyone has a peaceful Valentine’s Day!

Many Blessings,

Friday Reflections

Well it’s Friday and I did a bunch of link love yesterday. So go check them out! Told you I was wondering if it was Procrastination, Craziness or ADD! :)

My daughter struggles a little in school but today she got an award for academic achievement/improvement! Woohoo, go K-bug!

I have had some answered prayer this week about my blog. Thank You God! I will share soon. In the meantime, I’m going to work on this weeks goals!

I pray all of you have a blessed weekend. See you Monday!

Friday Reflections

Hello all, I know I have been MIA this week. Really my mind has been a jumbled mess and I have been in deep thought and prayer. Although, I also am having a week of writer’s block! God help me!

I have had a serious emotional roller coaster ride the past few weeks. It’s getting better but I am focussing on my God and myself to figure out what, why and how. So bear with me. I’ll have more to share next week. Until then here are a few of my favorites this week. I have slacked on reading and commenting on others blogs this week as well but God was telling me take your time! So please forgive me on my MIA status!

It’s Personal

My son, Austen was featured in the Wilmington Star News this week along with other peers. I am so proud of him! The author of this article also posted his “Racism” poem on her poetry blog Port City Poets. Thank you Ana!

I only found one I am very fond of this week! 😉 Sarah at Real Life Blog is giving away a HP TouchSmart Web Printer. Go check it out here. She also did a review on it!

My friend Heather over at The Extraordinary Ordinary has posted how it is going with her most deepest secret she announced last week. Riding The Wind. Please continue to pray for her!

Amy at Girlfriends Get Real posted about God in The Details. I could swear she was talking about me!

Marci at Overcoming Busy has made my list again! ha-ha! She wrote about her January Goal Reporting and I will tell you that she has said it all! If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must!

Today at 2pm eastern, I will be online at The Bona Fide Network to chat about our accomplishments and struggles this past month on our goals. Please take time to check it out. The more people to share with the better!

Many Blessings!
