I Remember – Wordless Wednesday

Back on September 11, 2001 my husband and I were on our way to work, we heard on the radio that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. When we go to work and turned on the TV, it was just in time to see the second plane hit. All I wanted to do is close my Dad’s restaurant and go back to the daycare to pick up my four and five year old boys. Go home and hold them tight.

I remember and I will NEVER forget.

This weekend, my daughter had her first football game to cheer at. They held a memorial for 9/11 and I wanted to share some photos with you. The ones of the firefighters staring up at the half-staffed flag…. some with closed eyes turned my eyes to tears. It was an amazing site for me. So I decided to share these photos instead of my daughters first game.

Just Chillin – Wordless Wednesday Link Up

These are the kinds of things that make me question what some people think. This was on a major highway ( I-40 in NC). They were driving at least 50 mph with no railings or anything, just chillin! Oh yes my husband and I were laughing the whole time passing them! I am speechless.

Wyndham Hotels Came Through For Us

Last month my friends Malise and Jen put a group together to run a 5K for the Susan G. Komen race in Raleigh, NC. I was humbled because they were doing it in honor of me. At the last minute, I decided to go ahead and walk it. Thankfully Malise was going to just walk it too. The decision to participate left my husband and I needing a place to stay. Since the race was very early in the morning, we could not drive from the beach to Raleigh on time. My body just would not have been able to handle all of that. Thankfully Wyndham hotels came through for us! They gave us a place to stay!

Thank you to Wyndham Hotels and Women on Their Way for caring for people that have cancer and for the causes that support cancer.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to really enjoy this hotel. We got there late, needed dinner and had to get up at 4am. Also, I wasn’t sure how long a 5K would take, I checked out on the way to the 5K at 5am.

You can find the exact hotel we stayed in at their specific site for this location.

I wish I had more photos of it and I also wish I had enough time to really enjoy it! However, we did get a few photos of the hotel to share with you!

The only thing we thought they should have in the room is a directory for places to eat and for entertainment. There was not anything like that in the room. However, the staff was so friendly and helpful! We found a cool place to eat in Cary. Which is right across the way. Then came back to pretty much sleep. It really was a nice place! It was clean, modern and convenient. I would love to have a reason to visit the hotel again! Just so I can experience all of it! The stay was a teaser for us!

This picture had me at hello! How many times do you go away and forget toiletries? How many times do we not know if the hotel has that for you? Loved this and had to take a photo!

Blessings,

Chele
